The Student Council (StuCo) is a group of elected student leaders who help run programming for the whole school, working with fellow students, SGAs, and staff to advocate for student needs and make your SHA experience the best it can be.   • Anchors Program: Students apply for these positions that serve the needs of the student body through peer support. Training is provided. Contact for more information!

  • Reflection Team: The Reflection team uses social justice methods and a grassroots approach to improve our school community. We are seeking strong, committed, open-minded, critical thinkers to join our team! The Reflection Team holds circle meeings once a week where we talk about issues that come up in our school and our society. During these meetings members learn to amplify student voice by facilitating dialogues with their peers, teachers, and administrators about things happening in our school and beyond. If you are the type of person who thinks outside the box, questions the status quo, and has a vision for a better world - this is the space for you! Contact for more information!

  • National Honor Society: The purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools. The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Contact for more information!
